Custom Listing Blocks

To create a custom listing block, go to Templates -> Manage Blocks -> click Create New Block, select Listing, give it a title, (be specific!) and click Create.

Each listing block contains 1 listing. First, add sections (columns), then add elements like Message, and/ or Image.

To add a listing image, add the element: image. Check the box Dynamic Image, then select the Image from the dropdown menu. You can have up to 10 images from 1 listing.

Then, you'll want to add a listing link. It's up to you, but it's more common than not to link your images to the Listing Link. The Listing Link is set up company-wide. It's a link formula that will lead your email recipients to your website. It's usually something like www.companyname.com/MLSid or www.companyname.com/address or www.companyname.com/properties/address/

Then, you can information from the data feed with hashtags in the message area! Click inside the message element. Then, the tool bar will appear. Click Insert -> Insert Listing Hashtag-> there are many listings to choose from. Please keep in mind that the hashtags are only pulling in the data/ number/ name. Any units or descriptions need to added as text. You can edit the hashtags just like you would edit any other text. You can adjust the font style, color, size, etc. The Listing Address hashtag will pull in the full address: number, street, city, state.

When in doubt, publish the block! Add it to a template. Publish the template, then create a marketing piece with test listings. The process requires a lot of testing, so don't feel discouraged if you need to go back to edit a block or template!
