Important: This guide is intended for the person(s) or team that manages your domain, and can make updates to your DNS records. This is commonly your IT team for your brokerage/brand, or a third party website/email provider. Please provide this article to them so that they can make these changes for your domain.
Setup Overview:
There are five steps that you or your email service provider (ESP) must take for your domain to ensure that emails are being correctly authenticated for any third party emailing on your behalf, including rezora:
- Step 1: Setup SPF for rezora
- Step 2: Setup DKIM for rezora
- Step 3: Setup DMARC policy
- Step 4: Finalize DMARC policy
Get Started: Setup SPF for rezora
Why this is needed:
Email platforms like rezora send emails on behalf of your domain (e.g., myemail@domainexample.com), which means that your recipients will see your email address in the "From" field, and can reply to you directly. These authentication steps are important because:
- Your emails will have improved deliverability (the best chance of reaching the inbox of your recipients).
- Your recipients will be better protected from bad actors impersonating you (phishing/spoofing).
- Your email reputation (and your domain's) will be protected, helping to ensure high deliverability.
- Some email providers require that your emails successfully authenticate, or they will not deliver them to the recipient.
