rezora emails no longer include the "View this email in your browser" link. We've made this change to make room for something better: our Preheader feature, which gives you the ability to customize the preheader text on your emails and templates.
A preheader is the short line of text that appears in a recipient's inbox right after the subject line. It's one of the first things people see before deciding whether to open your email. Having control over that text is a simple but powerful way to make your sends more compelling.
If you don't enter a custom Preheader, your emails will default to "A message for you from First and Last Name at Company Name." While that keeps things professional, writing your own preheader is a great opportunity to give recipients a reason to open. As for the "View this email in your browser" link, removing it reflects where email marketing has evolved. Today's email clients are robust enough to reliably display emails as intended, making the browser fallback largely unnecessary. It also frees up space that's better used for content that actually drives engagement.
Here's how to add a custom preheader to your emails and templates in rezora:
Create Marketing Piece | Edit page
There is a new field under "Subject Line" for the Preheader.
Simply fill out the area with the text of your choice. Make sure it draws people in and lets them know what your email is about without coming off as spam. Click Save to save your new Preheader text in place.
In the Zephyr Email Editor
Head to the "Settings" tab in the builder. Scroll down, and you'll find the Subject and Preheader areas. Input your desired Subject and Preheader there, then click "Save" or "Save & Exit" when you've built the piece out fully.
Admin Account Only: In the Template Details page
First select your template on the Templates page by clicking on a template title. You'll find the field beneath the "Subject Line" field in the main section of the "Template Details" page.
Input your new Preheader and click Save Changes.
Admin Account Only: In the Zephyr Template Editor
Head to the "Settings" tab in the builder. Scroll down, and you'll find the Subject and Preheader areas. Input your desired Subject and Preheader there, then click "Save" or "Save & Exit" when you've built the piece out fully.
Admin Account Only: In the Drip Campaign Editor Email node for Draft Drip Campaigns
When creating a Drip Campaign, you can add a Preheader to your Email Steps by clicking an existing email step and typing your text into the Preheader field.
Note: For already created Drip Campaigns, since they are non-editable once they have been activated, they will use the default fallback "A message for you from First and Last Name at Company Name" text.
